We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. Therefore, we inform you in the following on how your data is collected, electronically stored, processed, and used as part of your job application with Distribution & Marketing GmbH, Nonntaler Hauptstraße 36, 5020 Salzburg, Austria, or with one of its affiliated companies ("Companies of the Mateschitz Group"; a current list of these companies is available here).
The company of the Mateschitz Group that created the job advertisement or to which you sent your application by e-mail shall be responsible for the processing of your personal data. E-mail applications must be sent exclusively to the following e-mail addresses: joinus@mateschitz-group.com; karriere@tauroa.at; bewerbung@redbullring.com; bewerbung@therme-aqualux.at; karriere@thalheim.com
Should the application be made for a job in a company of the Mateschitz Group other than Distribution & Marketing GmbH, Distribution & Marketing GmbH and the respective company shall be jointly responsible for processing, since the purposes and means of data processing will be jointly determined by these two companies.
To this end, the two companies have agreed the following:
- The duty to provide information on the data processing activities lies with Distribution & Marketing GmbH.
- Distribution & Marketing GmbH will reply to all requests from data subjects exercising their rights under the Data Protection Act. A joint contact point has been set up for such requests (datenschutz@mateschitz-group.com. Distribution & Marketing GmbH will collect all information necessary to responding to the request.
- Suitable measures have been taken to ensure the security of personal data. Nevertheless, data protection violations can never be ruled out entirely. In the event of a data protection violation, Distribution & Marketing GmbH will coordinate the necessary measures.

Data collection
When you visit and use our website only for information purposes, we collect at least the following technical information (log file data):
- operating system of the device you are using to visit our website.
- browser (type, version, and language settings)
- the amount of data accessed
- the current IP address of the device you are using to visit our website
- the date and time of access
- the URL of the previously visited website (referrer)
- the URL of the (sub)page that you call up on the website
- the access system’s Internet service provider
The collection of this data is technically necessary in order to display our website to you, and to ensure stability and security. As a rule, we (and our service provider) do not know who is behind an IP address. We do not combine the data listed above with other data.
The legal basis for the storage of the data/log files is Art. 6 para.1f (legitimate interest) GDPR. Storage in log files guarantees the proper functioning of the website and, in addition, helps improve the security of our systems. No further evaluation of this data (e.g. for marketing purposes) takes place in this context. The data stored by Distribution & Marketing GmbH will be deleted when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. This is done not later than after six weeks. A storage beyond that time is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users will be deleted or masked, so that an identification of the visiting client is no longer possible.
As part of your application, we will collect and electronically store and process the personal application data listed below, which you uploaded through our career portal, or sent us per e-mail, by surface mail, or a headhunter:
- your contact details (e.g. your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number),
- your application documents (e.g. application letter, attachments, etc.),
- your curriculum vitae,
- information about the job you applied for (e.g. post, duties, place of work, salary, experience and skills required),
- information about your previous work experience and employment (e.g. company, location, department, post, role, date of joining, full-time or part-time, working hours),
- information about your professional training (e.g. level of education, associated skills, degrees or certificates),
- data about you that are publicly accessible, provided that the processing of these data is appropriate with respect to the specific characteristics of the vacancy or other relevant factors.
The processing of these data is based on Article 6 para. 1(a) (consent) and/or Article 5 para. 1 (f) GDPR. You are not obliged to provide the data requested by us. However, if you do not furnish the data required for the application, we cannot process or consider your application.
Purpose of the collection/transfer of data
The purpose of this career portal is to recruit and hire individuals for the Mateschitz Group. Therefore, the data controller company will process the personal data you provided (e.g. contact details such as name, address, and e-mail address, job information, communication information), and can process personal data about jobs and professional career which you made publicly available or posted on social media.
The data controller company can transfer the application data (which you provided to us via the career portal, by e-mail, or surface mail, or were sent to us by a headhunter) to other companies of the Mateschitz Group in case they have a job offer that matches your application profile. Accordingly, the employees of the Mateschitz Group will only use the data provided by you for the application and selection process, in a possible hiring procedure, and, if necessary, for the administration of a subsequent employment contract.
The collection and processing of your personal application data is carried out for the purpose of filling out vacancies within the respective responsible company or companies of the Mateschitz Group which are offering you a job.
By sending your personal data, you agree to the storage and use of the personal data by the said companies of the Mateschitz Group for the purpose of a possible employment. Should you not agree with the dissemination of your personal data within the Mateschitz Group, you can contact datenschutz@mateschitz-group.com.
There will be no other use or dissemination of your application data to third parties, with the exception of their transfer to service providers (data processing companies: e.g. hosting providers, website and IT service providers) of the Mateschitz Group.
The processing of your personal data by external service providers is carried out as part of contract processing as stipulated under Article 28 GDPR. The aforementioned service providers will merely obtain access to personal data that are required to fulfil the respective task. These service providers may not disseminate your personal information or use them for other purposes, in particular for their own promotional purposes. Where external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we have applied legal, technical, and organisational measures and carry out regular checks to ensure that they also comply with the data protection legislation in place. We place great emphasis on processing personal data within the EU / the EEA. However, we may use service providers that process data outside the EU / the EEA. In these cases, prior to the transmission of your personal data we make sure that the recipient has established an adequate level of data protection comparable to the standards within the EU. This can be achieved, for example, by means of EU standard contracts or special agreements, the provisions of which the company can submit to.
Sharing of job advertisements on social media
It is possible to share our job advertisements on the following social media.
To be able to share job advertisements, you must log in to the respective social media platform. In this case, only the link to the vacancy advertisement will be transferred. No transmission of personal data takes place.

Job alert
You can subscribe our "job alert" service, for which we will use your e-mail address that you provided us with. Following registration by providing your e-mail address, you will automatically receive an e-mail containing a confirmation link. The data provided will be deleted if you do not click on the confirmation link within 72 hours. Following confirmation of your registration, you will receive comprehensive information when a job vacancy suitable for you is published. You can withdraw your consent at any time by e-mail with effect for the future.
Storage period for application data
Your personal application data will be automatically anonymised 7 months after employment or a negative reply. Your application data will be completely deleted 24 months after employment or a negative reply.
This applies unless legislation prevents erasure of the data, their continued storage is required for evidence purposes, or you have given your consent for a longer storage for filing purposes in our talent pool, and such consent was obtained individually and expressly from you. The data is automatically erased from our talent pool after a period of 36 months.
Data security
Authorised personnel that may access your data is obliged to protect the data secrecy and confidentiality of your data. We have taken adequate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, in particular against any accidental, unauthorised, or unlawful destruction or loss, alteration and disclosure. The external service providers (contract processing) tasked by the Mateschitz Group with the processing of your data (e.g. as part of an IT support agreement) are contractually obliged to comply with the relevant data protection legislation.
By using this website, you confirm that you are older than 14 years. If you are 14 years old or younger, you must first obtain the consent of your parents/guardians before you can send us data via our career portal, by e-mail, or surface mail. The provision of data is forbidden without such consent. Should you nonetheless send us data, we shall discontinue the processing of these data as soon as we become aware thereof.
Rights of the data subjects
To the extent that we process your personal data, you are entitled to various data protection rights toward the respective data controllers of our company group:
You shall have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability. In case you have given your consent to the use of data (e.g. filing in the talent pool), you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. If you believe that the processing of your personal data is unlawful, you have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority.
